Seattle Noir

SEATTLE NOIR

“It was all
suddenly depressing”
—A.E. van Vogt
The World of Null-A

1

Seattle comes—out at night
When the streets—get wet & slimy
Slan boyz cruise—the dark alleys
Sleazenoid guyz—get skanky

2

Seattle’s—pretty sleazy
Talk about Slan—Neo-noir
Foul-mouthed—femmes fatales
Kiss Me Deadly—all night long

3

When it rains—it pours
Monsoons—mean and moody
Midnight streets—sullen and wet
Every night—The Long Goodbye

4

Seattle noir—it ain’t pretty
It’s gets awfully pouty—Farewell, My Lovely
It gets awfully sulky—and melancholy
Like Miss Chandler’s—The Big Sleep

5

Seattle noir—comes and goes
It’s so sleazy—in rainy Seattle
Monsoons can be—so depressing
Mean streets—full of rough trade

6

Seattle noir—down and dirty
Sleazeboyz—and sullen tricks
During the Sixties—down by Pike
Slinking—in front of Penny’s

7

Seattle noir—ain’t Space Opera
Even tho—they’ve got a Space Needle
Lots of cute—Heinlein Space Cadets
Especially—when the Fleet’s in
